Unit size is the combination of a unit's
gameplay radius (hitbox) and the volume of its rendered model, both of which are affected by size modifiers simultaneously. A unit's selection area is partly based on the span of its model.

Between the two factors for size, the
gameplay radius is the most relevant to gameplay, as it determines the registering of most direction-targeted projectiles (skillshots) and the reach of the various
edge-to-edge spells. The latter in particular add both the caster's and the target's gameplay radius to their effective reach, whereas the reach of
center-to-center spells is unaffected by units' gameplay radius. The
basic attack is the most notable unit-targeted
edge-to-edge spell. See the Range article for more details.

A unit's
selection radius,
selection height and
pathing radius are not related to size and are unaffected by size modifiers. Lastly, size is not to be confused with
projectile dimensions and the hitbox collision radius of certain
dash spells—the concept of a gameplay radius does not apply to them.

All current size modifiers are percentage increases or decreases and
stack additively.

Size modifiers affect the unit's gameplay radius and visual model. In turn, the extent of a unit's visual model on players' screen is one of various factors for selecting that unit as a target.
