The average insulation thickness, when determined by the method described in ISO 60811, shall not be less than the value specified in ISO 60502-2. However, the thickness of any section may be less than the specified nominal value, provided that the difference does not exceed the limits specified in ISO 60502-2. The average insulation thickness, when determined by the method described in IEC 60811, shall not be less than the value specified in the provision of IEC 60502-2. Control, protection, measurement control

The control, protection, sensing and monitoring equipment must be a new system representing the latest technology.

The supplier must also provide all necessary additional protective devices that will shut down the electric motors in the event of emergency conditions detected by sensors and measuring instruments installed on the electric motors and auxiliary devices of the pump.

Each panel must be equipped with multifunctional protective relays and electronic control devices (ECD), which can remotely send signals and impulses to the control center. Distribution boards must consist of panels, which are a welded structure made of sheet metal profiles with switching and protective devices and electrical measuring instruments installed on them.

The pumping station will have its own local control system (LCS). All supplied devices, hardware, and appliances for specified voltages must operate properly with voltage variations of +/- 10%. All supply networks must be switchable and protected. Double pole switches must be used to interrupt single phase AC power. For multi-phase power, each phase must switch simultaneously, and the neutral line should preferably not have any switching, it should open and close before the phase lines. All supply networks must be protected on phase lines only by small circuit breakers, which must comply with the relevant IEC standards. All individual equipment must be protected in such a way that failure of one does not cause failure of other equipment. Busbars in cabinets must be carefully routed and each busbar must be covered. Tires must not be placed close to each other or close to the ground.

Grounding

All equipment must be grounded.

All structural metalwork and metal chassis, including cabinet doors, must be connected to a grounding loop. Installation

Until specified otherwise, all electronic devices must be in the form of plug-in circuit boards mounted on cabinet frames. Cabinets must be equipped with all necessary terminal boxes, blocks and cable glands for small wires and multi-core cables. These elements must be located in an approved position that is easily accessible. Marking of equipment must be adequate to enable it to be correctly located and to assist in routine testing and maintenance. An old version of a program can be overwritten by a new version without causing changes to any definitions created in the previous version, nor breaking the operational logic defined in the previous version.

Renewable Energy Capability

The available shadow free roof top area shall be utilized to harness solar energy. This shall provide a clean and renewable source of energy. The system shall comprise of PV Module (Thin film, poly crystalline), Power Conditioning Unit, and Solar Inverter with necessary accessories. The components shall be as per MNRE approved makes. The solar roof top system shall be grid connected based on Net Metering Regulation of MPERC as amended up to date.
