A projectile (or missile) is any entity not classified as a unit (champion, minion, monster, etc.) that travels at a given velocity, meaning it has a speed (measured in units per second) and a direction. Some projectiles may additionally be affected by an acceleration (measured in units per second2). Ranged attackers usually have a projectile attack.

Unit-targeted and auto-targeted missiles can also be destroyed by homing projectile destruction effects.

However, certain champion summoned units undergoing movement may behave like projectiles for the purposes of being knocked down by projectile-blocking effects.
