[서울=뉴시스]강주희 기자 = 멤버 수안(22)이 환하게 웃으며 얘기했다. "며칠 전 산책길에서 고양이를 만났어요. 손을 내미니까 다가와 주더라고요. 처음 있는 일이라서 신기했어요." 인터뷰를 위해 만난 퍼플키스와 행복에 대해 이야기하던 참이었다. "행복은 거창하다고 생각하지 않아요. 정말 사소한 곳에서도 충분히 느낄 수 있고, 크게 불행하지 않으면 행복이라고 생각해요."
[SEOUL=Newsis] Kang Joo-hee reporter = Member Swan (22) smiled brightly while speaking. "A few days ago, I met a cat on my walk. When I held out my hand, it came closer. It was a first-time experience, so it was interesting." They were talking about Purple Kiss and happiness for the interview. "I don't think happiness is grand. You can feel it fully in really small places, and as long as you're not deeply unhappy, I consider that happiness."

"I wrote the lyrics while imagining the journey of finding happiness through the spell 'DOREMI.' Gratefully, due to my profession, I receive a lot of happiness and support, and the people who give me happiness and support are the fans and the members, so there were no difficulties or blocks when writing the lyrics. Instead, I enjoyed it more because I liked imagining it."
도시(25)는 나고은이 써내려간 가사에 행복을 느꼈다고 했다. "처음 노래를 받았을 때 영어로만 되어 있어서 이해하기 쉽지 않았는데 고은 언니가 써준 가사를 듣고 천천히 살펴보니 몰입이 자연스럽게 됐어요. 스스로 응원을 받고 행복감을 느낀 것 같아요." 채인(23)은 "몽글몽글한 행복이 느껴지는 게 이 곡의 가장 큰 장점인데, 가사 덕분에 그런 감정이 더 잘 느껴졌다"며 "어떤 한 장면이 연상되는 순간도 많았다"고 공감했다.
Dosie (25) said she felt happiness from the lyrics written by Goeun unnie. "When I first received the song, it was only in English, so it wasn't easy to understand. But after listening to the lyrics written by Goeun unnie and slowly reviewing them, I naturally got immersed. It felt like I was receiving encouragement myself and feeling happiness." Chaein (23) shared, "The biggest advantage of this song is that it evokes a cozy sense of happiness, and thanks to the lyrics, those feelings are felt even more." She added, "There were many moments when a certain scene came to mind."
'도레미'라는 주문을 외치고 싶었던 순간은 없었을까. 수안과 도시는 싱글 발매 이틀 전 서울 코엑스에서 선보였던 버스킹을 얘기했다. 팬들에게 처음 공개하는 '도레미' 무대였다. 당시 도시는 긴장감에 핸드 마이크를 떨어트렸다고 했다. "우당탕탕 하는 소리가 났었는데 정말 '도레미'라고 외치고 싶었어요. 그래도 잘 마무리됐고, 의도치 않게 라이브 인증을 하게 된 것 같아 다행이라는 생각이 들었어요.(웃음)"

It was their first public 'Doremi' stage for fans. At the time, Dosie said she dropped the hand microphone due to nervousness. "It was making a clanging sound, and I really wanted to chant 'Doremi.' But it ended well, and I felt fortunate that I ended up having a live certification (proof they are singing live) unexpectedly (laughter)."

'마마무 동생 걸그룹'이라는 수식어를 안고 데뷔한 퍼플키스는 지난 4년간 치열한 시간을 보냈다. 이들이 처음 무대에 섰던 2021년 3월 코로나 시기였다. 관객 없는 무대는 생존의 압박이 됐다. 그러나 퍼플키스는 화면 넘어 팬들에게 더 가까이 닿겠다는 마음 하나로 버텼다. 그리고 마침내 마주하게 된 얼굴들. 퍼플키스는 팬들과 처음 만났던 순간을 잊지 못한다고 했다.

The empty stage became a survival pressure. However, Purple Kiss held on with the mindset of getting closer to their fans beyond the screen. And finally, they met the faces. 수안은 "2년 차 정도 접어들 무렵 공개 방송이 열렸는데 플로리(팬덤명)가 저를 실제로 보고 실망하지 않을까 하는 걱정이 있었다"면서 "다행히 팬분들의 응원에 안심이 됐고, 열심히 활동하고자 하는 의지가 강해졌다. 슬럼프라고 할 수 있는 순간들을 팬분들께서 활력으로 채워주셔서 감사했다"고 말했다.
Swan said, "Around the time we were entering our second year, a live broadcast was held, and I was worried that PLORY (fan club name) would be disappointed to see me in person." Fortunately, she said she was reassured by the fans' support and her determination to work hard grew stronger. "I can call those moments slumps, and I'm grateful that the fans filled me with energy."
수안의 말대로 플로리는 퍼플키스를 움직이는 가장 큰 힘이다. 그래서 플로리에 대해 이야기 할 때에는 혹여 오해라도 생길까 신중하게 말을 이어갔다. "예전에는 겁 없이 무대를 했던 것 같아요. 근데 요즘에는 라이브 할 때나 춤을 출 때 실수를 안 하려고 굉장히 노력하고 긴장해요. 이게 팬분들에 대한 예의라는 생각이 들어서 더 열심히 하고 있어요." (채인)
As Swan said, Plory is the greatest force moving Purple Kiss. Therefore, when speaking about Plory, she carefully continued her words, lest misunderstanding arise. "Back then, I seemed to perform on stage without fear. But lately, when performing live or dancing, I try very hard not to make mistakes and I get tense. I think this is because of the respect I have for the fans, and that's why I'm working even harder." (Chaein)
인터뷰 말미 멤버들은 자신이 받은 사랑을 팬들에게 행복으로 돌려줄 차례라고 했다. 듣고 싶은 수식어에 대해 묻자 나고은은 '행복 길잡이'라며 웃었다. "행복을 찾는 과정을 담은 노래이다보니 행복 길잡이 같은 느낌이 됐으면 좋겠어요. 저희가 요정 같은 콘셉트를 시도해 본 적 없지만 팬분들에게 행복을 드리는 요정이 되어드리고 싶어요."
