| "LoL Game Assets" means the following in-game gameplay features, concepts, and design elements of the game "League of Legends" ("LoL"): (i) gameplay "creep" concepts, including location and attributes (e.g., the respective concepts of the red buff or "Crest of Cinders", blue buff or "Crest of Insight", Baron Nashor, and Dragon in LoL) and their corresponding respective "buff" effects, (ii) in-game items or equipment (i.e., defense, attack, magic, and miscellaneous items) and their corresponding attributes, specifications, and item tree buildout, and (iii) meta-systems (i.e., map layout, including related environmental assets such as bush, lanes, walls, etc.) (the foregoing in this sub-clause (iii), the "LoL Meta Assets"); provided, however, that such features and elements were incorporated into the public release version of LoL prior to January 1, 2016. |
| For the avoidance of doubt, "LoL Game Assets" expressly exclude the following items: (i) the selectable and playable characters in LoL controlled by the players ("Champions"); (ii) any names, icons, or look and feel of creeps, items, equipment, environmental assets, or other materials in LoL, (iii) the LoL "art style;" and (iv) any assets introduced from and after January 1, 2016. |
| "LoL Marketing Assets" means the Riot and LoL brands and all other trademarks, service marks, words, taglines, names, symbols, devices, designs, indicia of origin, short phrases, and short sayings, including titles, logos, product designs, product features, character names, nicknames, personas, sounds, place names, scenes, things, and events, as well as any translations, foreign language equivalents, and combinations, in each case associated with or related to Riot or LoL and that are owned or licensable by Riot during the Term. |
