I am He Aiyue, a third-year undergraduate student majoring in English at the Foreign Language Institute of Sichuan Normal University. I sincerely apply to join the Summer Camp in the direction of Foreign Language and Applied Linguistics at your esteemed institution. I firmly believe that this is an immersive experience to explore the academic fertile ground, a wonderful opportunity to meet like-minded individuals, and a mysterious journey to find the compass for my future path. I am filled with anticipation and eager to join.

一、个人基本情况
One, Personal Background

在学习方面,我专注专业,踏实自律。在校期间,因成绩优秀,表现良好,我曾连续三年获得校级学业奖学金;连续两年获得“三好学生”、“优秀共青团员”荣誉称号;连续两年获得“暑期社会实践优秀个人”、“寒假社会实践优秀团队”。
In terms of academics, I am dedicated to my major, diligent, and self-disciplined. During my time at school, due to my excellent academic performance and good behavior, I received the School Academic Scholarship for three consecutive years; I was honored with the titles of "Outstanding Student" and "Outstanding Communist Youth League Member" for two consecutive years; and I was recognized as an "Outstanding Individual in Summer Social Practice" and an "Outstanding Team in Winter Social Practice" for two consecutive years.

同时,我以参赛和科研作为锤炼专业能力的砺石,在实战压力下打磨批判性思维、培养临场应变与复杂问题的拆解能力。在学科竞赛和科创活动中,我获得国家级金奖(一等奖)和银奖(二等奖)、省级和校级奖项多项。
At the same time, I honed my professional skills through competition and research, refining my critical thinking under the pressure of practical scenarios, and developing my ability to respond to challenges and break down complex issues. In academic competitions and innovation and entrepreneurship activities, I won national gold and silver awards (first and second prizes), as well as multiple provincial and school-level awards.

二、专业学科学习
Two. Academic Discipline Learning

我们的核心课程有:综合英语、英语听力、英语语音、英语口语、英语阅读、英语写作、英语语法、英语演讲与辩论、语言学导论、跨文化交际、英国文学史及选读、美国文学史及选读、英汉\汉英口译、西方文明史、英语(学科)课程标准与教材研究、英语学科课程与教学论等。
Our core courses include: Integrated English, English Listening, English Pronunciation, English Speaking, English Reading, English Writing, English Grammar, English Speech and Debate, Introduction to Linguistics, Intercultural Communication, A History of English Literature and Selections, A History of American Literature and Selections, English-Chinese / Chinese-English Interpretation, A History of Western Civilization, English Curriculum Standards and Textbook Research, and English Curriculum and Teaching Theory.

在学习中,我始终秉持沉潜深耕、精研覃思的态度,专心听好每一堂课,认真完成每一项作业或练习,全力以赴每一场考试或考查。通过系统的学习与实践,我习得了扎实的英语听说读写译能力构建了坚实的专业知识体系前五学期绩点排名为4/258(前1.6%),专业平均成绩:91.02分。并一次性通过四六级考试,其中CET-4(609分)、CET-6(594分)。后参加雅思考试,获得7分(阅读8分)。
In my studies, I have always upheld an attitude of deep immersion and thorough exploration, focusing intently on every class, diligently completing every assignment or exercise, and giving my all in every exam or assessment. Through systematic learning and practice, I have developed strong English listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation skills, and have built a solid foundation of professional knowledge. My GPA ranking for the first five semesters was 4/258 (top 1.6%), with an average score of 91.02 in my major. I also passed the CET-4 and CET-6 exams in one go, scoring 609 and 594 respectively. Later, I took the IELTS and scored 7 (with 8 in reading).

学科竞赛是是淬炼思辨锋芒与跨文化表达力的熔炉,也是搭建文明对话的实践桥梁。为了提高自己的专业能力,提升自己的英语表达水平,锻炼自己的批判思维,我积极加入到学院的英语辩论队和演讲队。因高效负责,细心耐心,抗压坚韧,在二年级被选为两个队伍的队长,组织了上百场训练,十余场模拟比赛和校际交流,体现出较出色的组织协调,沟通表达和解决问题的能力。我获得了2025年第27届“外研社.国才杯”全国大学生英语辩论赛国家级金奖,2024年“外研社.国才杯”“理解当代中国”国际传播综合能力赛项国家级银奖,2024年CUDC中国大学生英语辩论赛全国一等奖,2024年第29届“21世纪杯”全国英语演讲比赛全国二等奖,2024年“高教社杯”大学生“用外语讲好中国故事”短视频大赛国家级一等奖。还有一些省级和校级奖项,在此就不做赘述。
Academic competitions are a forge for honing critical thinking and cross-cultural expression, and a practical bridge for cultural dialogue. To enhance my professional skills, improve my English proficiency, and develop my critical thinking, I actively joined the college's English debate team and speech team. Due to my efficiency, responsibility, patience, and resilience under pressure, I was elected as the captain of both teams in my sophomore year, organizing over a hundred training sessions, more than ten simulated competitions, and inter-collegiate exchanges, demonstrating my excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. I won the National Gold Award at the 27th "Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. China Talent Cup" National College Students' English Debate Competition in 2025, the National Silver Award at the "Understanding Contemporary China" International Communication Competition in 2024, the National First Prize at the CUDC China College Students' English Debate Competition in 2024, the National Second Prize at the 29th "21st Century Cup" National College Students' English Speech Competition in 2024, and the National First Prize at the "High Education Press Cup" College Students' "Telling China's Story in Foreign Languages" Short Video Competition in 2024. I also won several provincial and school-level awards, which I will not elaborate on here.

In these various competitions, I have enjoyed the joy of intellectual 碰撞, cultural exchange, and value transmission with like-minded individuals. At the same time, I have been working to align my cultural narrative with the global context, infusing my future academic research with vibrant contemporary issues and problem awareness.

在科研探索上,作为答辩人和核心成员,我参加了2024年第十四届“挑战杯”秦创原中国大学生创业计划竞赛,获得了国家级银奖。该项目是针对“一带一路”中文学习低龄化需求,团队翻译创作中华儿歌,开发多模态资源库,结合翻译、国际中文教育、音乐跨学科研究,旨在推动文化传播。作为传唱人、推广者、答辩人和核心成员,我还参加了2024年建行杯四川省国际大学生创新大赛,获得了省级金奖。该项目完成原创儿歌创作及多语种适配,项目获多国孔子学院应用推广,提升中华文化国际传播效能。在老师的引领下,我还参与了2023年四川省哲学社会科学“十四五”规划2023年度项目:基于学习者体验的“用外语讲好中国故事”能力培养实证研究,提供4.5万字质性文本,支撑“讲好中国故事”能力培养模型的创新构建与实证验证。
In research and exploration, as a presenter and core member, I participated in the 14th "Challenge Cup" Qianchuanyou China University Students' Entrepreneurship Plan Competition in 2024 and won a national silver award. The project addressed the need for low-age Chinese language learning along the "Belt and Road," with the team translating and creating Chinese children's songs, developing a multimodal resource library, and combining translation, international Chinese education, and interdisciplinary music research to promote cultural dissemination. As a singer, promoter, presenter, and core member, I also participated in the 2024 Jianhang Cup Sichuan Province International University Innovation Competition and won a provincial gold award. The project completed original children's song creation and multilingual adaptation, with the project applied and promoted by multiple Confucius Institutes, enhancing the effectiveness of international dissemination of Chinese culture. Under the guidance of my teachers, I also participated in the 2023 Sichuan Province Philosophy and Social Sciences "14th Five-Year Plan" 2023 project: Empirical Research on the Cultivation of the Ability to Tell Chinese Stories Well Based on Learner Experience, providing 45,000 words of qualitative text to support the innovative construction and empirical validation of a model for cultivating the ability to tell Chinese stories well.

演讲、辩论等竞赛提供高压、真实的语言运用场景,迫使我在限定时间内精准、流畅、有逻辑地表达观点,极大锻炼了临场反应、心理素质和语言组织能力。参加科创活动时,反复的打磨,激烈的竞赛,都是磨练心理素质、培养坚韧毅力的宝贵经历。而科研研究要求严谨的学术语言、规范的文献引用和清晰的逻辑论证,让我在高级书面表达能力、信息处理能力和批判性思维上得到了初步的锻炼。通过在学科竞赛、科创活动和科学研究中的有益尝试和大胆实践,让我直观感受到语言作为文化载体与沟通桥梁的磅礴力量,向纵深拓展了我的专业学习,提升了我的综合素质和学习能力。更重要的是,帮助我跳出单一学科的框架,拓宽了我的眼光视野,学会从更广阔的视角审视语言现象。从中,我理解了语言绝非悬浮于真空的抽象符号,它深深扎根于特定的社会、文化与历史土壤逐渐对语言的社会维度产生了浓厚兴趣产生了深入探究语言本质奥秘的渴望想对语言学进行系统性追问。
Public speaking and debate competitions provide high-pressure, realistic language use scenarios, forcing me to express my views accurately, fluently, and logically within a limited time, greatly enhancing my ability to respond on the spot, my psychological resilience, and my language organization skills. During the process of participating in innovation and entrepreneurship activities, repeated refinement and intense competition are invaluable experiences that hone my psychological resilience and foster perseverance. Research, on the other hand, requires rigorous academic language, standardized citation of literature, and clear logical argumentation, which initially trained my advanced written expression skills, information processing abilities, and critical thinking. Through beneficial attempts and bold practices in academic competitions, innovation and entrepreneurship activities, and scientific research, I have gained a vivid understanding of the power of language as a cultural carrier and communication bridge, deepening my professional learning and enhancing my overall qualities and learning abilities. More importantly, it helped me transcend the confines of a single discipline, broadening my horizons and teaching me to examine language phenomena from a wider perspective. From this, I came to understand that language is not an abstract symbol floating in a vacuum but is deeply rooted in specific social, cultural, and historical contexts. This gradually sparked my interest in the social dimensions of language and my desire to delve into the mysteries of language, prompting me to systematically question language.

四、未来规划
Four. Future Plans

怀对语言学纯粹热爱和对知识边界的好奇,在学术道路上坚定前行永不言弃。
I will carry forward my pure love for linguistics and my curiosity about the boundaries of knowledge, resolutely advancing on the academic path without giving up.

潜心学习,夯实理论基础系统、深入地研修语言学核心课程(外语学习策略、二语习得、英语教学论 、应用语言学)及本领域前沿专题课程,打牢理论根基,形成清晰的知识图谱。
Pursue in-depth study to solidify theoretical foundations. Systematically and deeply study core linguistics courses (foreign language learning strategies, second language acquisition, English pedagogy, applied linguistics) and cutting-edge specialized courses in the field, laying a solid theoretical foundation and forming a clear knowledge map.

(二)刻苦钻研,明确研究方向在广泛阅读、积极参与研讨和与导师充分沟通的基础上,聚焦研究兴趣点(例如:语言学理论与应用、英语教学论等),确定自己俯身深耕的领域
(II) Strive for in-depth research to clarify research directions. Based on extensive reading, active participation in discussions, and thorough communication with mentors, focus on research interests (such as linguistic theory and application, English pedagogy, etc.), and determine the field in which you will deeply engage.

三)锲而不舍,熟练掌握本领域核心研究方法积极投入教学实习:在中小学或培训机构进行外语教学实习,积累教学经验;参与学术研讨:参与学术会议、研讨会,撰写学术论文并发表;投身社会实践:参与国内外文化交流活动,提升跨文化交际能力。
(III) Persist without giving up to master core research methods in the field proficiently. Actively participate in teaching internships: conduct foreign language teaching internships in primary and secondary schools or training institutions to accumulate teaching experience; participate in academic discussions: attend academic conferences and seminars, write and publish academic papers; engage in social practice: participate in domestic and international cultural exchange activities to enhance cross-cultural communication skills.

(四)持之以恒,争取学术实践与产出积极参与导师课题研究,争取在高水平学术会议上报告初步研究成果,并撰写、投稿学术论文。
(IV) Persistently strive for academic practice and output. Actively participate in mentor-led research projects, and strive to present preliminary research findings at high-level academic conferences and submit academic papers for publication.

( 五)教书育人薪火传承。未来期望进入学校或研究机构,在潜心研究的同时,将知识、方法与探索精神传递给新一代语言学人。如果有可能,还想继续深造,攻读博士学位。
( Five)Teaching and nurturing, passing on the torch. In the future, I hope to enter a school or research institution, dedicating myself to research while imparting knowledge, methods, and the spirit of exploration to the next generation of linguists. If possible, I also wish to continue my studies and pursue a doctoral degree.
