퍼플키스(나고은, 도시, 이레, 유키, 채인, 수안)는 지난 14일 오전 서울 광진구 모처의 한 카페에서 두 번째 싱글 '아이 미스 마이...(I Miss My...)' 발매 기념 인터뷰를 진행했다.

'아이 미스 마이...'는 결국 진정한 행복은 지금 이 순간, 나를 둘러싼 감정 속에 존재한다는 메시지를 담은 앨범. 퍼플키스가 지난해 10월 발매한 '헤드웨이(HEADWAY)' 이후 약 9개월 만에 선보이는 신보로, 불완전한 내면을 솔직하게 마주하고 지금 여기에 존재하는 것들의 소중함에 대해 노래한다.
'I Miss You' is an album that carries the message that true happiness exists in this very moment, within the emotions surrounding me. It is PURPLE KISS' new release, appearing approximately 9 months after their last album 'HEADWAY' released last October. The album sings about honestly facing one's imperfect inner self and the preciousness of what exists here and now.
짧지 않은 공백기 이후 팬 플로리(PLORY)와의 재회를 앞둔 수안은 "긴 공백기가 있던 만큼 열심히 이 앨범을 준비했다. 예쁜 우리의 모습을 보여드릴 생각을 하니 설렌다. 얼른 무대를 통해 찾아뵙고 싶다"라고 벅찬 소감을 밝혔고, 채인은 "새로운 콘셉트로 찾아뵙게 되어 떨리고 설렌다"라며 마녀 콘셉트를 벗고 청량한 매력으로 돌아왔음을 알렸다.
After a relatively long break, Swan, who is set to reunite with fans PLORY, expressed her heartfelt feelings: "The long break allowed us to prepare this album with great dedication. I'm excited to show you our beautiful selves. I want to meet you on stage as soon as possible." 이레의 경우 "이번 곡이 행복에 대한 노래이다 보니, 순간순간 행복의 순간을 찾아보려 했다. 팬분들도, 대중분들도 이 노래와 함께 덥지만 행복한 여름 보내시길 바란다"라고 했으며, 도시는 "나 역시 이번 활동을 통해 행복감을 많이 느끼고 싶고, 그런 행복을 듣는 분들께도 전달드리고 싶다"라고 공감했다.
For Ireh, she said, "Since this song is about happiness, I tried to find moments of happiness in every instant. I hope both our fans and the public will spend a hot but happy summer with this song." Dosie added, "I also want to feel a lot of happiness through this activity and want to convey that happiness to those who listen."
이어 나고은은 "퍼플키스의 최장기간 공백기였는데, 그동안 우리도 팬분들을 그리워했고 팬분들도 우릴 그리워했더라. 그렇기에 이번 컴백이 더 간절한 것 같다. 행복에 대한 이야기를 나누는 만큼, 우리와 함께하는 순간이 행복하게 기억되길 바란다"라고 덧붙였다.
Na Goeun also added, "This was Purple Kiss's longest break, and during that time, we missed our fans, and our fans missed us. That's why this comeback feels even more desperate. The more we share stories about happiness, the more I hope our moments together are remembered fondly."
짧지 않은 공백기 동안 어떻게 지냈냐 되묻자 수안은 "2월 말 즈음에 세 번째 투어를 마치고 귀국했다. 쉼 없이 활동을 해왔다 보니 체력적으로나 정신적으로 정비가 필요했는데, 본가에 가서 휴식을 취하며 회복의 시간을 가졌다. 그러면서도 운동도 쉬지 않고 노래도 연습하며 끊임없이 다음 앨범을 준비하는 시간을 가졌다"라고 답했다.
When asked how she spent the relatively long break, Swan replied, "I returned to the country around late February after completing the third tour. Since I've been constantly active without a break, both physically and mentally, I needed to rest and recover at home. During that time, I also didn't stop exercising and practicing songs, continuously preparing for the next album."
도시는 "운전면허를 땄는데 운전할 기회는 없었다. 운전보다는 팬들에게 달려가는 게 우선인 것 같아 지금은 잠시 제쳐두고 컴백에 대한 생각만 하고 있다"라고 너스레를 떨어 웃음을 자아냈다.
Dosie laughed, saying, "I lost my driver's license but didn't get a chance to drive. It seems more important to run to the fans than to drive right now. I'm putting it aside for now and just thinking about the comeback."
