This unit's grade will be calculated in 4 different sections:

   • A1a - 15% of the unit mark - An individual coding project (due date Wednesday Week 5 at 11:55pm)

3. Assignment 3: Content from Weeks 10-11

   • A3a - 7.5% of the unit mark - An individual coding project (due date Monday Week 14 at 11:55pm)

   • A3b - 7.5% of the unit mark - A theory test held on campus, in person (Week 12)

4. Workshop Quizzes - 15% of the unit mark - Weekly
   研讨会测验 - 单元分数的 15% - 每周

   • You will get a short quiz per week during the workshops. We encourage you to take these quizzes during the workshops (and in the workshop rooms), however, they will NOT available outside workshop hours. Each week will be worth 2% and the best 8 weeks out of 12 will be marked (capped at a total of 15%)

   • Due to the nature of workshop quizzes, students are allowed to work on the questions in groups and discuss their answers

A few notes  一些注意事项

1. Your code submissions, i.e. A1a, A2a, and A3a, will be marked for correctness and quality.
   您提交的代码（即 A1a、A2a 和 A3a）将被标记为正确性和质量 。

2. Theory tests (A1b, A2b, and A3b) should be treated as written examinations: if you miss it, you get a 0 for it.

3. Detailed rubrics for each of the coding assessments will be provided to demonstrate how your work will be marked. Also, you will be provided with a bank of questions before the theory test phase well in advance.

Note that the unit does not have an end-of-semester exam, i.e. your final mark will be determined solely by the accumulated mark you get in A1a-A3b plus weekly quizzes. In order to pass, your unit total must be over 50%, or 50 out of 100 marks.

Serious Reminders  严肃提醒

• The reason you are enrolled in this unit is to learn, not to pass the unit.

• The 6 in-semester assessments are not only to evaluate you but also to help you learn.

• Remember that each of the assignments has a relatively high weight. Try to put decent effort into each of them.

• At first glance, it may look easy enough to cheat or cheese the 3 coding assessments. But be warned: they are designed to be challenging and to require decent effort on your end. Start working on them as early as possible.
