About the assignment 关于本次作业
This assessment requires you to submit a portfolio of original sound-based compositions developed over the course of the semester. The portfolio should reflect your personal creative voice and demonstrate your engagement with the compositional, aesthetic, and technical ideas introduced throughout the subject. It should also reflect how the final works relate to your initial creative intentions, planned compositional approaches, and production strategies expressed in your portfolio proposal (Assessment 1).

Your final portfolio must consist of either:

- A set of shorter works (3–5 compositions between 2–5 minutes each)

The final length of your portfolio must be between 10–15 minutes.

Your portfolio may explore any combination of approaches introduced in the course, as long as the work is intentional, well-developed, and clearly documented.

Your portfolio must be accompanied by a 400–500 word artist statement outlining your compositional approach, use of sound materials, production processes, and any relevant contextual influences. You must also include a short reflection on how your final work relates to your project proposal (Assessment 1).

Submitting your assignment
作业提交说明
You must submit your assignment here by 5:00pm on Wednesday 22 October in the form of a ZIP file with all audio, image and written documentation. Late submissions will result in an automatic grade of zero, as outlined below.

Late submission policy
If you require an extension, you must email the tutor between 7 days and 24 hours prior to the submission time, with the form at the below link filled out, with appropriate medical certificate or supporting documentation.
The extension can only be for a maximum of seven days. If you require longer you must apply for special consideration.

If you are aware of ongoing conditions that will affect your ability to submit assessments, you can also apply for an equitable learning plan.
There is no “percent per day” penalty. Any assessment that is late, even by 1 second on the online system, will incur a 0 grade.
